Data Deletion Request
At Enosis Labs, we respect your right to privacy and control over your personal data. This page outlines the process for requesting the deletion of your personal information from our systems, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.
Your Right to Erasure ('Right to be Forgotten')
Under applicable data protection laws, including the CCPA/CPRA and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to request that we delete your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., where we need to retain data to comply with legal obligations).
- We will respond to your deletion request within the timeframes required by law (generally, within 45 days for CCPA/CPRA requests and within one month for GDPR requests).
- We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request to protect your privacy and ensure the security of your personal information.
- Even after a data deletion request is fulfilled, Enosis Labs will retain basic information (such as a record of the deletion request and limited identifying information) for a maximum period of 90 days. This is for legal compliance and protection against potential liabilities.
The Deletion Process
When you submit a deletion request, we will follow these steps:
- Verification: We will verify your identity to ensure that the person requesting deletion is either the individual whose data is being requested or an authorized representative.
- Review: We will review your request to determine what data can be deleted according to your request and applicable laws.
- Deletion: We will delete your personal data from our active systems.
- Confirmation: We will provide you with confirmation once your data has been deleted.
- Third-Party Notification: Where applicable, we will notify third-party service providers with whom we have shared your data to delete your information from their systems as well.
Information We Can Delete
Upon your verified request, we can delete most personal information we collect and store, including:
- Account information (name, email address, contact details)
- User preferences and settings
- Usage data and interaction history
- Payment information (though we may need to retain certain transaction records for legal compliance)
- Communication records and support interactions
Exceptions to Deletion
There are certain situations where we may be legally required or permitted to retain some of your information, even after receiving a deletion request:
- To complete transactions or services you requested
- To detect security incidents, protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity
- To identify and repair errors that impair existing intended functionality
- To comply with legal obligations, such as tax laws, compliance regulations, or in response to legal processes
- For other internal uses that are reasonably aligned with your expectations based on your relationship with us
- For our internal research and development purposes, where data has been effectively anonymized
